The “2026 Taoyuan Lantern Festival” will be held grandly from February 25 to March 8, 2026, at Hutoushan Innovation Hub, Nankan Creek Riverbank, and Sanmin Sports Park. To accommodate the massive influx of visitors and vehicles expected during the festival, traffic control will be enforced on roads surrounding the venues, and transportation measures will be enhanced to alleviate the flow of people and traffic, ensuring smooth transportation.
The Transportation Bureau points out that vehicles are prohibited from entering or parking within the lantern festival control zones, and towing enforcement will be intensified in the surrounding areas. Drivers are encouraged to park at the New Yonghe Market Parking Lot. Motorcycle riders may use temporary parking areas at Qingxi Park, Taoyuan High School (weekends/holidays), and the Vocational Training Center (weekends/holidays).
To facilitate visitor travel, the city government is providing two free shuttle bus routes:
- Red Line: Between “Taoyuan Railway Station (Rear Station) – Guixi Riverside Park”.
- Blue Line: Between “New Yonghe Market – Hutoushan Innovation Hub”.
Shuttle frequencies will be adjusted flexibly based on crowd levels, and it is highly recommended to prioritize public transportation for travel.
