Presented in the form of an artistic lantern installation, this work interprets the role of Longyuan Temple as the core of local faith and daily life. Shennong, the Divine Farmer, has presided over Longtan for more than two centuries, protecting the land and its people. Alongside the growth of settlements and commerce, faith and daily life have become closely intertwined.
The bustling market streets in front of the temple form an essential food hub for local residents, while the Longtan Traditional Market behind the temple serves as an important space for daily shopping and social connection. In the historic urban area centered around Longyuan Temple, streets and alleys bearing the name “Dragon” link faith with collective memory. Each path becomes a route of incense leading toward peace and blessings, reflecting Longtan’s generational landscape of folk belief.
