Taiwan’s Only! “Aerospace Pegasus” Takes Flight: Three Main Zones Combine AI Interaction and Popular IP

The highlight of this year’s festival is the nation’s only 13-meter-tall, all-metal main lantern, “Pegasus Illuminates Taoyuan,” crafted from aerospace scrap with mechanical dynamic wings.

This showcase demonstrates the technological prowess of Taoyuan as an aerospace city. The event connects three themed zones to meet various visitor needs:

Hutoushan “Future Light Realm”: Blending AI voice translation technology with free recreational facilities to create an avant-garde interactive tech experience.

Nankan River “The Forest’s Living Cadence”: Using exotic art installations combined with environmental sustainability to create a romantic riverside atmosphere.

Adorable hippo-shaped lanterns are also set up around the Nankan River to light up Qingxi Bridge, crafting a romantic waterfront.

Sanmin Sports Park “dtto friends Amusement Park”: A collaboration with the adorable IP “dtto friends,” inviting families to experience the diverse charm of tech-driven light shows and fun photo spots.

Professional Guided Tours! Stroll Through the “Old Town” to Travel Through Time, Seamlessly Connecting History and Technology

A special “Old Town In-Depth Tour” has been organized, inviting the public to embark on a journey through time led by professional guides.

The route starts from Taoyuan Railway Station, explores the station relics, and proceeds to the Japanese-style Taoyuan 77 CityTown.

Follow Zhongzheng Road to learn about the past and present, visiting the local religious center “The Big Temple” (Jingfu Temple) and the Big Temple Police Station, which stands as a witness to history.

Finally, experience the revitalization of old streets at the Xinming Street Cultural and Creative Cluster.

Subsequently, the route follows the site of the Old Taoyuan Walled City’s east wall and the Dongmen Stream (former moat), passing by the Taoyuan Literature Museum, the solemn Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and TYAI Senior High School of National Taipei University of Technology.

Finally, the tour arrives at the main festival venue, “Hutoushan Innovation Park.“

As twilight falls, the hub transforms into a dazzling wonderland of light and shadow, allowing visitors to transition seamlessly from the profound heritage of historic sites to the visual feast of modern tech-driven lantern art.

Transport Guide: Smooth Transfers at the Railway Station; Explore the Old Town on Foot to Avoid Traffic.

We encourage the public to embrace green transportation by choosing the event shuttle service from the Taoyuan Railway Station Rear Station directly to the venue.

Alternatively, visitors are suggested to arrange an “Old Town Stroll” starting from the vicinity of Taoyuan Railway Station to explore historic landmarks and savor local delicacies along the way.

Walking to the lantern zones allows you to avoid traffic, deeply experience Taoyuan’s unique urban charm, and arrive at your destination at a relaxed and pleasant pace.
